4+ years of experience in a Counter-Insider Threat (C-InT) role or related discipline area AND 20+ hours of C-InT training

  • Behavioral Science Professionals (social psychologists, forensic psychologists, behavioral psychologists, social workers)
  • Risk Management Professionals

If you don’t see your specific discipline area but believe it should be included as a C-InT discipline, please reach out to the GCITP PMO and ask if your discipline is applicable.

  • Before you can schedule to take the exam, you must complete the registration application and pay the “Application & Exam Fee” ($650).
  • Once your application has been reviewed and approved, and confirmation of your payment has been accepted and approved, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to register with PearsonVUE to take the exam.
  • The assessment can be delivered electronically at one of the 4500 participating PearsonVUE locations OR,
  • The assessment can be taken from home via OnVUE, PearsonVUE’s Live Remote Proctoring (LRP) tool.

  • All Candidates will have 120 days from when they receive instructions for scheduling their exams to schedule and take the exam.
  • If a candidate does not complete the exam during the 120-day window, their application will expire, and they will lose their registration fee.

The GCITP Certification has a four (4) year maintenance window.
